Clean, great food, skip the tripa.
It's good but the fajitas for 2 is a joke it won't feed a teenager lol.
100% Antojitos Mexicanos is a great little restaurant, clean, and offering delicious traditional Mexican food. Their prices tend to be a tad higher, but they make up for it with authenticity. This location is in front of the Walmart Supercenter on University Ave and next to the Jack In the Box. The RGV has no lack of taco restaurants, and most offer the same. This one stands out for several reasons: modern design, cleanliness, and quality of authentic Mexican food. Tacos, enchiladas, tostadas, tortas, sopes, quesadillas, flautas, papas (baked potatoes), etc. All the "antojitos". One of the reasons I like this restaurant is they offer tacos "al pastor" or "trompo" using a real vertical spit which gives the meat a more authentic texture and flavor. My only observation about the food is each time I've ordered something that came with some fried potatoes and salad, there is no salad dressing (which is "authentic" since most places in Mexico do the same) and the potatoes were not cooked enough for my taste. Still, I have always enjoyed the food here. Both dine in and take out.
