I stopped by 16th Street Seafood in Philadelphia and it turned out to be a great spot for simple, satisfying seafood. The place is small and casual, but the food comes out fresh and full of flavor. I ordered a fried fish and shrimp combo, and everything was crispy on the outside while still tender inside. The portions were generous for the price, and the seasoning had that classic Philly takeout style that locals love. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, which makes it a convenient stop if you're craving seafood without the wait of a sit-down restaurant. Overall, 16th Street Seafood is a solid neighborhood spot for affordable, no-frills seafood that hits the spot. Great for a quick lunch or takeout when you’re in the area.
Snow crab legs are small, pretty much baby-ish. And the food is a little bit too salty.
Best Alfredo around. This little gem may not look appetizing from the outside, nothing but great flavors from the kitchen. Definitely recommend.
When I pulled up I thought it has to be average at best. I was told to order the shrimp pasta. I was addicted to this for months. Literally driving far distances to obtain this meal to last for days. Try it.
First and last time. Called from outside the market, could still see the menu thru the window. They charged me a higher price on each platter, only told me about one price change over the phone. Told them on the call that I was standing outside the large window. Quoted 20 min. 30 min later, he came to the door, and asked "can I help you?". Reminded him I had placed the order. He said "5 more minutes", and it turned into 20 more min. This won't stop me from supporting local businesses, but definitely not supporting one that is sketchy with pricing like that.
First and final time going to this place. I ordered a reasonably priced crab cake platter. It was supposed to include a homemade crab cake, fries, and coleslaw. They gave me plenty of fries and they were okay. But my crab cake was subpar. It was all filler and no crab. I don't eat coleslaw so I don't have any feedback on it. It took 25 minutes to get food that was less than impressive. It's just best I make my own.
I usually eat here with no problem. However, after eating the food yesterday my husband and I are now suffering with mild food poisoning. We both had fried shrimps.
Food so f'n good! Shrimp and chicken Alfredo dish with long garlic bread thee best! Just not the best looking spot to hit up for such a banging ass dish.
