a year agoI was honestly blown away by this place. I am able to rustle up some fine grub on my own, so I'm pretty picky about my food. Especially my steak. And this place managed to impress. Not being from Clayton, it was weird going to this place in what felt like the middle of nowhere, to get what turned out to be great food. The only gripes my group had were that they didn't have regular tartar sauce or cocktail sauce. They just had they're own versions that our group didn't care for.

a year agoFirst few times we stayed it was good. But lately it’s super hard to get a hold of anyone. You can’t cancel a reservation for a cabin or camp site even thou the owner will say they have a waiting list if someone cancels. It’s 4 night minimum so it starts at $300 for a camp site. But when you try to cancel you can’t. Be aware when you go to check in you might not be able to get ahold of anyone. If you are hunting, you might want to think about pulling a camper or getting a house some place els. Me and my boys won’t be staying here again just due to the decline in service.

3 years agoI've heard of this place many times and finally made it out to Clayton to try it with some friends. Not a fancy place but the food and hospitality were great. Everything we ordered was cooked properly and very tasteful. Some of the largest fried shrimp I've seen. Fried whole catfish and green tomatoes were excellent. Next time we're trying the steaks.
