Outstanding Food and the Best Dining Location in Luxor - an unforgettable sunset dining experience by the Nile River. These photos perfectly capture why Abydos was my favorite dining experience during my stay in Egypt. From the moment the food arrived, I knew I was in for something special. The presentation was beautiful, with colorful dishes spread across the table, showcasing a wonderful selection of Egyptian flavors. The star of the meal was the mixed grill. The grilled meats were tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every piece was cooked perfectly. The combination of grilled kebabs, meat cuts, and chicken made for a satisfying and memorable meal. Served alongside freshly baked pita bread, grilled vegetables, and delicious dips, it was a complete feast. The lentil soup was rich, comforting, and full of flavor. The hummus and other traditional dips were smooth, fresh, and complemented the grilled meats perfectly. One of my favorite appetizers was the cheese spring rolls, which were crispy on the outside and wonderfully cheesy on the inside. The meat-filled pastries were equally delicious. The fresh salads added a refreshing balance to the meal, It seems to be prepared using high-quality ingredients. What impressed me most was the consistency—every item on the table was genuinely enjoyable. Beyond the food, the location makes Abydos truly special. Situated right on the banks of the Nile River, it offers one of the most beautiful dining settings in Luxor. Watching the sunset over the Nile while enjoying such an incredible meal created an unforgettable experience. The combination of stunning river views, a relaxing atmosphere, attentive service, and exceptional food made this dinner one of the highlights of my entire trip to Egypt. The service deserves special recognition as well. The staff were attentive, friendly, and always ready to help without being intrusive. They made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal and were happy to answer questions and provide recommendations. I would also like to thank the owner, Marco, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. It is clear that they take great pride in both the restaurant and the guest experience. Their warm personality and personal attention made us feel valued and added a special touch to an already wonderful evening. Having visited several restaurants throughout Egypt, including popular spots in Cairo and around Khan El Khalili, I can confidently say that Abydos delivered the best overall dining experience of my trip. The food was fresher, more flavorful, and far more memorable than many of the places I tried during my stay in Egypt. If you're visiting Luxor, don't miss the opportunity to dine at Abydos. Come hungry, arrive before sunset, and prepare for an unforgettable meal by the Nile. Between the outstanding food, spectacular views, attentive staff, and welcoming owner, Abydos is a restaurant that truly deserves its excellent reputation.

We had a wonderful diner tonight with my brother at Abydos ! The food was absolutely delicious, and everything was cooked perfectly. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view ! It made the whole experience even more special and relaxing. The service was also excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Ps : please have mayonnaise on the sauces option :)

Had a wonderful dining experience at Abydos Nile View in Egypt. The service was almost perfect — the crew were incredibly nice, accommodating, and spoke good English, which made everything smooth and comfortable. The food was excellent, with generous portions at very affordable prices. It’s the kind of place where you truly feel you’re getting great value without compromising quality. The atmosphere is peaceful and quiet, making it ideal for special dinners, casual meals, families, or even a romantic evening. What really makes this place stand out is the breathtaking view of the Nile River, especially at sunset — absolutely unforgettable. I would highly recommend Abydos Nile View to anyone visiting Luxor, and I will definitely come back if I’m in the area again 😃
