See All ReviewsWanted to order Mantu but they were sold out and its Friday, they dont have any Naan/roti/bread either. So bought the following chicken kebob Chaplee and lamb kebobs. Chicken and Lamb were cooked great, but Chaplee was made from old stale ground beef. That was BAD. Rice are nothing like Afghani palao, they smelled like indian rice from next door restaurant. There was no shredded carrots or any beef stock to give the pure afghani flavor. The chutney was not spicy or flavorful. I come from afghani background so believe me when I say it needs to feel authentic not confused. And prices for the amount qualify of food was High! Sad was really looking forward to it.
It was my first time visiting, but it definitely won't be my last! The food was phenomenal, my family was very pleased. I've never had lamb that tender before, they might have spoiled me from eating it anywhere else, lol. The salad tasted so fresh, and the rice was plentiful. The only negative is that it would've been nice if the rice had a little more flavor to it, but everything was really good and went well together. I wish that I could give more than 5 stars, so all that I can say is go see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
Yeah fantastic. We tried the Mantou and chapli kabab. these were awesome. The beef roll was disappointing because it was just a pastry and was cold. The qabli pulao was soft and had had original smell but we didn't know you need to order meat separately. Potato naan was exquisite. Order spicy one. We also bought the dry sehtoot off the shelf. They were well preserved.
