Went here for my birthday dinner a week ago with my family. I am very picky about ingredients and oils being used to cook with so was happy to find a restaurant that was Mediterranean and used olive oil to cook with. I made a reservation for my family of 5 2 days prior and the night of we arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation. It was a rainy Sunday and the restaurant was pretty bare. We were second group of people in the restaurant after they opened. The waiter was friendly, however was not checking in with our table very often in general to begin with. We brushed it off and tried to just enjoy the night, without rushing in any way. After waiting quite a bit to finally order our food, we all ordered our entrees and waited at least an hour before getting them. Mind you, in that time period, there were families and couples that had come and even gone, getting their entrees, while we were still waiting on ours. There was even a family of 4 that came in a half hour after us and got all their food 30 minutes before us. Again, we tried to just enjoy the night and not make a fuss since it was my birthday. Then when we finally received our food my brothers lamb chop was cooked raw and needed to be recooked. Overall, we had a pretty frustrating experience this specific night and, while I’m sure this specific situation wouldn’t happen every night, it wasn’t the best experience. 2+ hours at a restaurant, without ordering dessert is pretty crazy. However, the surrounding was defenitley pretty, and lowkey which I liked and the food was fresh, colorful, and seasoned well otherwise!
Had such a wonderful experience at Agora Restaurant! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. We started with Brussels sprouts topped with shaved cheese, a flavorful spicy feta dip, and warm soft pita. The spicy feta had just the right kick and paired perfectly with the bread everything was fresh and full of flavor. For the main courses, we had the grilled chicken and the manti dumplings. The grilled chicken was juicy and beautifully seasoned with a nice char, served with fluffy rice and perfectly roasted vegetables. The manti dumplings were tender, savory, and packed with delicious flavor such a comforting and satisfying dish. The live belly dancing added such a vibrant and authentic touch to the evening; it made the whole experience feel festive and special. To finish, we enjoyed pistachio baklava with Turkish coffee and tea. The baklava was flaky, rich, and not overly sweet the perfect ending to the meal.
This is my first time at Agora, and I loved every bit of it! The baklava is delicious. I ordered lamb chips and OMG! They were beyond tasty! I plan to return for dinner one day soon. 😋😋
