See All ReviewsThis is easily the best halal food I’ve had in Charlotte. We chose to dine in, and everything came out piping hot and clearly made fresh to order, which immediately set the tone. The portions were thoughtful and well-balanced, filling without being excessive, making it easy to enjoy a full meal without feeling weighed down. The spicy Kurdish wrap was packed with flavor and had just the right level of heat, while the mixed street plate offered a great variety and showcased how well they season and cook their proteins. The starter trio was a perfect way to sample multiple flavors, and even the sweet potato fries stood out, crisp, well-seasoned, and not an afterthought like they often are elsewhere. Service was another highlight. We were greeted warmly, and the staff was patient and genuinely helpful when walking us through the menu and answering questions. You could tell they take pride in both the food and the experience. Do not skip the smoothies. They were incredibly refreshing and paired surprisingly well with the savory dishes, making the meal feel complete rather than heavy. Overall, this is a fantastic spot if you’re looking for high-quality, protein-forward halal food that doesn’t sacrifice flavor. Highly recommend, whether you’re eating in or grabbing a meal after a workout or just want some good food. Can’t wait to come back and try the Philly cheesesteak! (If it’s on the menu it’s gotta be good!)
Nice addition to Montford specially that they are open late ! Egyptian owned but the food is pan East Mediterranean, the chargrilled chicken was a winner and the saffron rice was on-point so was the garlic sauce, had the Mamba falafel wrap , I prefer the Lebanese version of falafel that is more crispy than the Egyptian one which is more patty-like but its a good vegetarian option , the Mint Lemonade is a must try, I’ll definitely be back.
From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly welcomed. Mido (I hope I'm spelling that right!) truly went above and beyond. His energy was amazing, and you can tell he is genuinely passionate about his family's business; as he absolutely should be (it's a true gem). He even gave us fantastic recommendations for what to try on our next visit! The food? Phenomenal! I've been craving food like this since moving down from NY some years ago. I always feared that if I found a place, it wouldn't measure up. Not the case here! The flavors are truly top tier and tasted just as good as they looked and smelled. That alone is a 5/5, but the incredible customer service just puts this place over the top. We live about 30 minutes away and were just in the area, so we ordered takeout. Let me tell you, the smells on the car ride home were torture (in the best way!). While it's not right in our neighborhood, I will absolutely travel for food this good;it is certainly worthwhile. We will definitely be back to work our way through the rest of the menu! Highly
