I absolutely love Al Sham Markets, it’s my go-to spot for groceries. The halal meat is always fresh and high quality, and they have such a great variety of products from the Middle East and Africa. You can find everything from teas and spices to unique ingredients you don’t see in regular stores. The staff is friendly, and the overall vibe feels very welcoming. Highly recommend!
The guys on meat counter are rude and non accommodative to any special requests that you may have. I bought whole lamb leg but they were not willing to cut it to smaller pieces despite my request, and instead cut them relatively large. Also, they donot do hand chopped ground beef/lamb and you can only get machine chopped ground meat. In general, you can only get what’s available on the shelf, and any additional request is simply not entertained. I do understand that you guys are busy but requests such as these should be entertained once in a while, or at least have a preorder system available for special requests such as hand chopped ground meat. Otherwise, the shop is clean, prices are a little high but not too bad. The shop has good selection of halal meats. Shawarma is really good and I am in love with their Toum !
Friendly staff helped us find everything we were looking for. Selection is excellent and shelves were well stocked. The meats in the case looked fresh. They were vibrant colored and moist. Produce was being stocked while we were there and was great quality. I was impressed by the number and quality of offerings for such a modest store.
