See All ReviewsWe are from San Antonio and this place was highly recommended by a friend who lives in the area. I was a bit skeptical but wanted to patronize a local establishment that is known for their hamburgers. My husband is extremely fond of them, whereas I rarely eat them. He ordered the cover burger and absolutely loved it. I tasted it as well and we both agreed it is the best restaurant hamburger we've ever had and that is saying a lot since we reside in a significantly bigger city. The meat is fresh, we were sitting in an area that allowed us to see all the food being prepared. The cook Joe deserves many accolades. It is apparent that he takes pride when cooking. I had the chicken and swiss on texas toast with fries and that was delicious as well. I would also like to acknowledge our waiter Elvis who provided us with exemplary service. I highly recommend this place. The inside of the restaurant is cramped and extremely busy, but the wait staff hustled the entire night and I rarely see that when dining out.
We rode motorcycles for our first visit in a long time. We had onion rings. I had a stuffed deep fried avacado (the outside was overcooked but the meat and cheese stuffing was cold....go figure. The atmosphere was great and the Onion Rings were fresh and crisp.
I bought the Cover burger and it was delicious. It was grilled perfectly. The patties were hot and the fresh items were cold and crisp. That's important. The fries were good but not as good as I had hoped. It's a great place and I will highly recommend it and be back of course. The staff was extremely helpful. As it was our first visit we had a lot of questions which they answered well.
