See All ReviewsThis is a hidden gem. These people combine Trinitarian and Panamaian food in one spot. The quality and flavor of their curry is superb....but if I have to highlight only one thing from here it will be their service. Bonnie up front makes you feel like at home...she explains every thing very detailed and gives great recommendations. Will come back again with friends and family.
Subject: Concern About Missing Sauce and Recent Experience Dear Management, I am writing to share my recent experience with your restaurant, which was very disappointing, especially as I have been a loyal customer for over five years. When I first started ordering roti from your restaurant through Uber Eats, it always came with a small amount of pepper sauce and tamarind sauce. I absolutely fell in love with those sauces, and they have been a big part of why I continue to order from you. In the past, these sauces were usually included without me having to ask. Recently, I placed an order through Uber Eats and noticed that there was no option to request or add the sauces, and there was no notes section either. I did not mind paying extra for the sauce, but there was simply no way to request it through the app. Because of this, I called the restaurant and explained the situation. I was told it would be added to my order. Unfortunately, when my order arrived, there was no sauce included. I called again and explained my frustration, and I was told I could come in person. I drove about 20 minutes to the restaurant, and when I arrived, I experienced pushback from one of the staff members when I asked about the sauce and even when I asked for a soda as a customer service offer to make the situation better. This was surprising, as another staff member had already said it was okay. He spoke to her twice until she finally decided to agree. Now it felt like I was begging . I dont like that . What made this more upsetting is that in the past, the pepper sauce and tamarind sauce were usually included as a courtesy. This time, nothing was provided, despite my efforts to communicate in advance. I do not mind adding the sauce for a additional cost. I am sharing this because I truly enjoy your food and have supported your business for years. I would appreciate it if the Uber Eats options could be updated to include sauce requests or add-ons, so customers are not put in this position. Clear communication and consistent service would make a big difference. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration. I would like to continue supporting your restaurant, but this experience was discouraging. Thank you for your time. Ps. Stop gatekeeping the sauce . Its easier just to stop making it.
This is where you get the real stuff - paratha, doubles, currant roll (honestly the best I've ever had period), first, crab, dumpling, pelau, akee, shark and bake - and just good down to earth people working there. Easy to call and order ahead - never had one issue in over 5 years of ordering. Best kept secret for quality food with the best Caribbean flavors - now of the other Caribbean restaurants can hold a candle to Ali's 💥
