3 months agoFinally got to try this placein my neighborhood. Small and unassuming but big in taste. Server is very nice and suggested items based on my preference. The plate was a hearty portion. Meat and vegetables were cooked well and seasoned deliciously.

4 months agoYou’re missing out if you haven’t been here. The food is amazing. The prices are extremely reasonable. Everything pictured was total $8. The service was so friendly- the guy working was so nice and brought me an amazing cup of horchata while I waited for my food. Which. Again. Was so damn good. I already can’t wait to come back here.

Edited 6 months agoI feel right home at delicious restaurant. The chiles rellenos remind me of my Tia's version that I miss so much. This is well worth the visit, especially if you are planning to travel to Guatemala and want a taste of the food you'll be welcomed with.

a year agoAn absolute gem! We were craving pupusas after falling in love with them in Belize, and this spot had been on our list for a while. The pupusas (we got queso y pollo) were so comforting and delicious, freshly made and served with salsa and a cabbage slaw. We also ordered the Tamal Guatelmalteco which I’d never had before, and it was SO good! A new favorite. The zanahoria y pollo dobladas were phenomenal, served piping hot. Finally, we were served complimentary hot elote atole for dessert which was the perfect ending to a delicious meal. The service was so friendly and attentive! Also apparently they deliver which is awesome. Can’t wait to go back!

a year agoI loved this place and can’t wait to go back. The food was very delicious, friendly service, and a nice addition to the strip of places on Kedzie. My favorite was the tamal de guatamalteco which is super moist and tender, the texture is kind of like grits. We got pupusas de calabacita (squash, pollo y queso, and frijoles y queso. The caldo de res was flavorful and served with homemade corn tortillas which were hot and tender. The doblado was really well fried, very crispy and flavorful. Some of the sauces served on the side were spicy! I can’t wait to return and try all the other things!

4 years agoFriendly, tasty, and filling. Food came out quickly and our waitress was attentive. The food itself was excellent. We ordered a pupusa, tamalito, and the chiles rellenos. The pupusa and tamalito came with all the fixings, but were great on their own. The chiles rellenos plate was definitely spicy and should be eaten with the salad. It was a lot of food for the price. I'll definitely be coming back!
