I really wanted to like this place since it’s a new business that took over one that used to be pretty good—but unfortunately, this experience was just bad from start to finish. First, I’ll say I felt bad for the girl who was new and clearly trying her best, but the food and service were a mess. The maicito de pollo had no flavor, the Oreo milkshake was basically just ice cream in a cup, and the bollo limpio picada we ordered with steak came out as a huge mixed platter with everything except steak. We also ordered an arepa de choclo—10 minutes later, the waitress came back to say she couldn’t find it in the system. After all the food finally came out, my husband asked about his arepa, and she said it should be coming soon. Another 10 minutes later, she came back to apologize and said they didn’t even have it. It’s disappointing, especially because the previous restaurant in this spot (RICO Pan pizzeria) was actually good. I’m surprised this place has decent reviews, but if things keep going like this, I don’t see it lasting long.
It’d be 5 stars if they would be open on a Saturdays at 1pm like it says here on google and on their door. This is the second time we had came from out of town on a Saturday. Disappointing. Burgers and salchipapa are top notch though!
The food here is absolutely delicious and full of authentic Colombian flavor. The service is always friendly and welcoming, which makes every visit feel special. This has quickly become my favorite spot for Colombian food in the area. The prices are very reasonable for the quality and portions you get, which makes it an even better experience. Overall, it is truly a hidden gem that I look forward to coming back to again and again.
