I've never been so disappointed with Mongolian BBQ, I'm from Ohio and we have excellent Mongolian BBQ. It doesn't even compare to the Mongolian BBQ I'm used to at home very disappointed
This was definitely a huge disappointment. It was inside a mall, and was super small. The food was really expensive for not much volume, not much variety, and it didn't taste very good. My husband got food poisoning after eating there and was sick all night. We were really surprised and disappointed that they had no tables for us to sit down, so we had to go out into the food court with our styrofoam containers and plastic silverware and find a place to sit in the crowd of people swarming everywhere. Well, there was one table, but the employees said we weren't allowed to sit there. I would not recommend this place, and we won't return.
Bought 4 bowls (1 for myself and 1 for my granddaughter and 2 for my daughters) 1 I got to take home for my daughter who was at work. Ate the food, had good taste, walked around the mall for a few and about 20 mins later had to run to the bathroom. Came out both ends. By the time we got home my daughter had to run to the bathroom. And I ended up throwing my other daughter’s food away. I will never eat there again. Made us sick.amd wasted 50 dollars.
July 5th 2024. Friday 114 degrees out. I’m pregnant so I had been craving it for some time now. It’s also been years since I had Mongolian food. I used to go to Great Khan’s at the Montclair mall years ago. I am going to explain what I was used to doing. We start the same by filling out bowls with meat and veggies, the cooks empty our bowls of meat and veggies and begin cooking them on the grill using water mixed with some seasoning. They then would add the sauces (of our choice and were really good) to the meat and veggies then add the noodles to the bowl and wait until the meat and veggies were cooked to add the noodles. I was expecting that here. Here we still add our own food but they don’t empty the bowl, the tiny bowl stays stacked with the meat and veggies and then you have to put the noodles on top of that. Not only that, the sauces were not that strong. Or if they were I wouldn’t know because they used unseasoned water to Cook everything at the same time on the grill. We Came home to eat, thinking it was going to be the same great taste the experiencing our first time having tasteless Mongolian foods. I imagine it was from them watering down our noodles while cooking. Also there isn’t a place to sit and eat inside the restaurant, all of the chairs are zip tied together. The lights were low, dimmed or off and it was super hot in there. Not sure if they have the option to turn off their own AC. Imma still eat my $17.99 tasteless Mongolian food tho. But it didn’t fulfill the craving 🥺.
Tasty food. Worth it to get the Super Bowl and pile it high as you can. I would recommend putting a lot more sauce than you think necessary.
today we had our lunch at this place, try this place i like it. You can choose your favorite meat and vegetables, give it to the chef he will cook it for you. You have to choose everything for you, meat, vegetables, sauce, garlic, chilly, chef only doing is cooking, we enjoy it today. Thank yield guys. Foods are really delicious, #california #mongolianfoods
After all these years, this place still ROCKS! Although Covid has changed their set-up inside, it's still the same great concept........ Load-up your own bowl, add your own toppings, Sauces & flavors, & the Chef grills it on the flat top.
Unfortunately, one of the best Mongolian BBQ places around. I would absolutely love to find a place outside of the mall with an amazing selection of fresh meat and fish. I'd give it 3.5 stars, but didn't quite deserve 4. Update: It's been better. They started cooking the food in the sauce I add, added soy sauce and cooking the sesame seeds and adding at the end helped a lot. They don't have real Sriracha but the one they do have isn't too bad.
