I wish I would have taken photos of the food and written the staff's names down. This was the best experience I have ever had at any of our local restaurants. First, we arrived 50 minutes before closing which is usually not good! The seafood buffet was still going on and we were asked by several staff if we would like anything cooked fresh or if we wanted more and that type of service is unusual but what a wowing moment. The pride in your cook monitoring the buffet to watching the interactions of your staff was so refreshing. The food was very good but the friendliness of your staff is your best asset and that type of late night before you close service deserves attention. I know I want to try chicken fried steak next time and my wife wants the buffet again! This was a special day for us and it was a great ending to our daughters 2nd birthday. Thank you for the great experience and go Spurs!
Stopped here in between Dallas and Houston for what we were hoping would be a local experience and good meal. We were seated immediately but waited an hour for 2 items off the menu (enchiladas and a sandwich...). Service was good when available and the food was good but not worth the excessive wait.
Our food was fresh and hot. Despite us arriving an hour before closing. We chose Anthony's based on the Google reviews. Glad that we did and the ladies welcomed us warmly within a second or so and did not make us feel rushed.
Nice family style cozy restaurant conveniently located between Dallas and Houston. Nice place to stop and take a break from driving. At breakfast don't be surprised to find a couple tables occupied by locals, in baseball caps and overalls, having a lively conversation in the back of the restaurant. It's that kind of an All-American type of establishment. I had the Sausage & Cheese Omelet ($12.65) with hash browns & toast or biscuit and it is a hearty breakfast that is very filling. Next time we may stop for lunch. Our server Monique was very attentive and we'll be sure to try to sit at her table in the future.
Good hometown cooking for a reasonable price and friendly service. Our party ordered one entree each from the breakfast, lunch, dinner, and senior menu and each was delicious. Will definitely return as the food was delicious and hash browns and French fries were cooked exactly how we like them.
Great place to eat. The portions are huge and the food is delicious!!!
Ok so I been driving this road over 30 years, they have been here for 20. You have to look for it or follow gos, but let me tell you, IT IS TOTALLY WORTH IT. Prices are ok, comparable, the food is excellent. We had chicken fried steak, Philly cheese steak sandwich, and chicken strips, all was above average. . The restaurant itself is very clean, bathroom is clean and smells great the atmosphere is great, good clean salad bar the staff is very friendly and helpful. Ayshia, could not ask for better waitress. She is a good representative for the restaurant. Most definitely will be back.
Best food in Buffalo! Very generous portion sizes and fair prices! When they say large order, it is absolutely a large! Very clean place. The best service! They have a great team of friendly waitstaff who are on top of things despite being very busy. Absolutely recommend. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend the fried shrimp platter, loaded BBQ brisket potato, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks! Didn't get a picture of the mozzarella sticks because we practically inhaled them, haha, but they were large! Everything was delicious, I honestly don't think you can go wrong here with anything. Can't wait to try something else next time!
