Very disappointed once we got in. It looked noting like the pictures show. We even got dressed thinking it would be a nice restaurant for easter where we are served. It is a buffet with cold pancakes. I do not recommend.
Mandatory Breakfast at this shining star located in HotelColonnade. Eggs Benedict , avocado toast are just 2 favs of our family , but abundant choice of cooked to perfection with endless coffee service , juice selection and always with a smile . Marie the manager is always on point and doesn’t miss a beat remembers all my family memebers name and notices who is missing and asks @ them . It’s like my home away from home. Would never stay or eat breakfast anywhere else when in Coral Gables !
The cafe is at the street level of the Colonnade office building and serves as the coffee shop of the Colonnade hotel. It is open 7am to 11am for breakfast and till noon on weekends on which, they also have a weekend breakfast buffet. The severs are very accommodating, friendly and efficient. The manager is a bit strict so try to be served by a server and not the manager.. Mora and Sheila provided consistently great service during our 8-days stay. The a-la-carte food is fresh and tasty. On both weekend days, the hot food of the buffet was lukewarm at best which caused us to skip the buffet in favour of the higher quality .enu choices. During busy times, the general manager of the hotel was observed clearing tables and helping the servers.
I stayed at the Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables for the holiday season. While there, I dined twice in the Aragon Cafe. Both my server, Flora, and the cafe manager, Maria, were lovely ladies. They were very accommodating in making a change in my food order and even prepared me a beautiful fruit platter for my road trip home, which was delicious. These ladies are a fine representation of the establishment and I will be back to dine at the cafe next time I am in town.
