I ate at this restaurant prior to it becoming a buffet and was delighted in the authenticity of the food. I loved the hot pot and the best dim sum in the city. Now that its a buffet, I go more often, probably 2-4 times a month. Especially on weekends when they have this amazing ginger cooked lobster on the buffet. Yes! Lobster on a buffet. Along with snow crabs and mussels. There is a great variety of foods from fried seafoods (oysters, shrimp, fish, frog legs).. to the normal hot Asian dishes and deliciously prepared fresh veggies. Including the sushi bar and fresh fruit and deserts, there is something for everyone. I have been to Ombu, The Louisiana Buffet, and recently Kiro's..... By far, hands down, This is the better choice, and best kept secret in Baton Rouge.
If you’re looking for a Chinese buffet that has everything, this is a place! For the price, I think it was worth it. I went on a Sunday evening and they had seafood items such as lobster, crab, you name it. Great service, very spacious. I highly recommend and would come back.
One of the best—if not the best—Chinese buffets I’ve been to in the last 20 years, no cap. You see these same dishes at other Chinese buffets, but they’re usually bland and forgettable. This place is on a whole different level. Every single dish is packed with flavor—each one somehow better than the last. You can tell everything is cooked by a skilled chef who actually cares about the food. They even have lobster, which is rare for a buffet, but my absolute favorite was the Mongolian stir-fry. Straight fire. 🔥
