2 months agoTypical take out layout so atmosphere is of that style. But their food is the best Asian take out in town always fresh, fast, & correct... And I'm a pain in the ass and always special order with changes. They never get it wrong even when packed and super busy

5 months ago11/10 THE BEST TAKEOUT CHINESE RESTAURANT IN SYRACUSE. It has become a tradition for me to pick up any one of the their delicious specials to cap off each work week. Shout out to the wonderful family that makes delicious magic for the West End!

5 months agoAmazing food and even more amazing people! I got locked out of my car in the parking lot during a snow storm. No jacket and no phone, the owner graciously gave me her coat and allowed me to use the phone to call for help. I was stuck waiting for hours but they gave me hot water and an egg roll, which was delicious, and allowed me to wait inside. When I finally got home the food was fantastic. They have absolutely gained a new lifetime customer!

6 months agoThis Chinese take out spot is truly outstanding. Their beef and broccoli is on a whole different level. The sauce is rich, the beef is soft, the broccoli is always cooked just right. They get it perfect every time, and I honestly feel lucky to have a place this good nearby. The food is excellent, the portions are generous, and the quality never slips. I appreciate this place so much. Easily the best Chinese take out around.

9 months agoYou know how Chinese restaurants are a lot alike and usually have one dish that is good but others that are meh ? This place seems to be a step above. Tried it on the advice of a friend and we have liked everything so far. For starters they have great vege fried rice , and pork lo-mein. I had the walnut shrimp and that was delicious. The steamed dumplings seem hand made and delicious!! Check em out , lot of different dishes compared to most places like this. I can't wait to keep trying the different ones , Thai curry shrimp is next !!

a year agoInformed by glowing Google reviews, my wife and I decided to take a chance on this small Chinese restaurant during our hurried lunch stop after a long drive from Pennsylvania. The sight of slightly faded menu pictures above the counter—a hallmark of established small eateries—set my expectations high. After reviewing the diverse menu, I settled on General Tso's Chicken, while my wife opted for chicken with broccoli and edamame. The young man at the counter was courteous and efficiently took our order. In just 15 minutes, we received a densely packed bag filled with hot, aromatic food containers. When we finally had the chance to indulge in our freshly prepared meal, I was pleased to find that it exceeded my expectations. Every dish was perfectly heated and tasted as if it had been made with genuine care. Should the opportunity arise, I would definitely return.

Edited 2 years agoAsian Wok has been my families go to "take out" Chinese food location. I think what sells us is how fresh the vegetables taste. They do not over cook the veggies until they are soggy. The vegetables in their main dishes are cooked perfectly with a nice crisp texture them along with a slight fiery char flavor to them as well. The General Tso has great flavor, slight heat and a nice crispy fried coating. The shrimp was flavorful and had a light sauce so not to lose the flavors of the shrimp. The egg rolls were run of the mill egg rolls that taste like any other take out or sit down Chinese restaurant. We also really enjoy their Lo Mein. Again, the vegetables tasting fresh hits the mark! The establishment is very clean. Though it is primarily take out it, Asian Wok has three tables with a couple chairs at each one along with a high chair if needed. If I can give one tip it would be that you should either order by phone or when you arrive. I have ordered online at least twice in the past and not sure why but my order was 20-25 mins late each time. I have never had that issue when I called to place my orders. Asian Wok has been around for years. Moved to a couple of different location but looks like it is settled in it's own building. It is family run. I have watched a young boy not more then ten take my orders years ago to see him grow into a teenager now taking my order. His mom has always given a "thank you" while I'm heading out. I look forward to patronizing Asian Wok for a long time because of the fantastic food and kind family ownership!
