If you are in a hurry, this is not the place to go when is busy. It’s the very small inside seating. They were very understaffed for a busy restaurant. It took 20 minutes after I got seated to get my order taken then another 20 to 30 minutes to get my food. You get plenty of food. The barbecue slaw was delicious. The hush puppies was delicious. The barbecue was OK had great sauce. Staff was friendly. I didn’t get offered a refill for my tea until I was getting up and there was a family of three sitting right next to me. They got refills at least twice the girl had to come by my table to give Damn refills. Overall, the staff was friendly. The waitresses was just overworked not their fault.
Good service and great prices for a quality meal. The staff was attentive with drink refills which is refreshing. I would come back again for another meal in the future. The only downside is the 3% credit card fee when paying. I understand its a small business but who really uses cash anymore?
Small, hole in the wall BBQ restaurant in Linwood (lexington, NC). Off the beaten path and probably blink and youll miss it. Not too big, not too small. Service was quick, food was out quick, hot and tasty. Everything tasted good. There was a sweetness to the brisket I wasnt a big fan off, but thats just me. The brisket was pull apart tender, not all fatty and moist. I had the potato salad with, which was good, just something a ingredient I couldnt put my finger on was a tad too much on the backend. She got the chicken and pork combo, both good. Baked beans were real good. Fries, while fresh are just standard crinkle cut, nothing special. Now the hushpuppies...they were damn good. Perfect sized, not too oniony, browned to perfection. Our server was patient and all smiles, noise level was perfect and the price was as expected for a meat oriented establishment. Overall, a good experience and good food.
