Owner Irma & niece Mia treated us like close friends the first time we walked in. Irma's son was busy making fresh bagels and filling TO-GOs and Door-Dash pickups. The bagels seem to be based on the classic egg bagel with the options making a choice VERY difficult. Topping have the same issue as the bagels, MANY to pick from and there are popular combos all set up. Great coffee, great prices, great service with warm smiles. Next trip to Ventira I plan on arriving early so I can ge a brunch meal here.
This place will definitely leave you hungry for more. Some of the best bagels I’ve had. Crispy outside, soft and chewy inside — just right. Tons of bagel and sandwich options, all super fresh. If you’re in Ventura and love bagels, don’t miss this spot.
Not only are the bagels less than mediocre, I’m blown away by the ridiculous cost. $8 for an absurdly small amount of lox on the side.The bagel sandwich only comes with egg and we have to pay extra for a slice of tomato and cream cheese!? How skimpy. The bagels we ordered all had sweet dough, including the garlic and jalapeño cheddar bagels. The bagel texture is dry and has zero chew like a typical bagel. I’m not sure how they make their bagels, but it is not adequate. Our whole family was disappointed and we will not be returning.
