What a gem. In town for a visit and wanted a diner style breakfast. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to make it out to the local diner and thought we had to settle for this bagel spot. It gives diner vibes and the food is really good. The service was super fast and they got everything right. Don't let the name fool you, they do more than just bagels well.
Will be reporting to Florida DACS Took my parents here yesterday. We ordered three of the two eggs and protein special for $9.99 each. We also ordered three coffees at $2.50 each, one tomato juice for $1.75, and three English muffins (which seemed to be part of the $9.99 deal, but they aren't listed separately on the menu—I'm assuming they're not more than $2–3 each). They charged us $67. Not knowing yet that we were overcharged, I even added a $12 tip on top of that inflated total. When I asked for an itemized receipt at the register, she didn't give me one. I stepped aside, then came back and asked for a breakdown. She pulled out a calculator and punched numbers so fast I couldn't follow. It felt extremely uncomfortable so I just walked away. When I got home and checked the menu online, I realized they overcharged us badly. I will be reporting them to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for fraud. Check your bill carefully before paying here.
Came in today after grocery shopping just to get my Diabetic dad a small meal because his alarm for blood sugar was going off , my parents are here visiting from out of town and I took them to a place I’m familiar with and frequent often ( mostly online ordering ) Upon entering we originally were going to place the order to go , but we were greeted by the front / cashier and she was very pleasant and said sit anywhere you want , so we decided to just sit down thinking it’ll be quick , ordered 2 meals for 3 adults , took most of it go go , but I had my father eat and get his blood sugar levels back to normal , when we get the check it’s scribble scrabble barely visible random fee … we had to ask , SHARING FEE $5!? Didn’t argue the fee and I can understand small businesses may be struggling which is why I tend to support small businesses , however some transparency would’ve been nice , and sometimes it’s the principle not the dollar amount , if I had known we would’ve been charged a $5 fee for “sharing” or taking bites off something rather , I would’ve just ordered another meal for $8, instead they are shorting the staff by ripping customers off , a simple hey by the way there’s a sharing fee beforehand would’ve done wonders( reason for review hopefully this is changed for future customers ) I normally tip 30+% on everything but I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome, it’s unfortunate because I’m a frequent customer and I constantly refer out of town guests looking for breakfast , Mitch’s west side bagel it is from now on. Front desk lady was nice and welcoming and so was the waitress , she herself had to ask the woman who added the fee what the fee was because she didn’t even know ! Ridiculous
