2 years agoOur waitress was EXTREMELY RUDE, I’ve never been on a situation where the waitress ask for tips (in a rude way) and after we give her a tip based on her service (it was a terrible attention) she had the nerve to approach me on the door and told me IF YOU DONT WANT TO PAY FOR SERVICE ORDER TAKE OUT NEXT TIME I said ok and left. This has a lot of to say about this restaurant, 0% professional and the food was not that good. During our dinner the service was really bad I asked for non spicy dish and she brought me spicy food when I told her she told me to mix it with rice and after insisting she more coconut milk on it but it ruin the taste. We also asked for help to open a bottle and the waitress will just ignore us. Is just ridiculous how she could have the guts to come for me when I was leaving and treat me that way. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

2 years agoThis place has one of the best Thai iced teas! I have been going here for a few years and have noticed a few changes in some of the dishes. We got garlic noodle with tofu and a spice level of 6. I always gotten it here and it’s relatively consistent. Usually I feel a bit of spice with 6, but this time I didn’t. The portion size has gone down over the years but there is still enough to fill you. The spicy basil fried was just bad. It used to be so much better. First of all, we got a spice level 7. It felt like they dumped chilly on it and forgot to add any other spices. We could only taste the spice and was otherwise very bland. The garlic noodle on the other hand had more flavors and was definitely way better.

2 years agoThe food was absolute fire, portions are amazing, prices are great, the ice tea is delicious. My one complaint but that's probably just how it's made, the chicken just tasted a bit off, like part of it was crispy and part of it was mushy, real mushy, so I just ate them tho, still really good.

2 years agoI recently dined at this Thai restaurant and the food was delicious, although slightly expensive. The drinks were great, but the service was slow, likely due to how busy it was. The location was fantastic and I loved the atmosphere.

4 years agoBeen coming to Bangkok Balcony since I was a kid and it was one of my favorites. I don't know what happened, maybe new ownership? Everything is way too saucy, and even at a 6 level spice there's no spice. And look at these Brussel sprouts. They're drenched in gross oil

5 years agoWe ordered the lemongrass noodles and mee kathi for delivery. The food tasted good and I can’t complain about the flavors and authenticity. The lemongrass dish was a little on the small side meanwhile the other was more than enough. I do wish i had gone with a higher spice level, 5 didn’t quite do it for me. Otherwise it was a decent meal but I’m not quite sure I’d order there again.

5 years agoIt was amazing! The ribs were perfectly cooked and fell right off the bone. There was a bar there and we were able to order a nice bottle of wine. Definitely go if you're thinking about it!!!

6 years agoWe came on Friday night at 7pm and there was hardly any wait to get in. However, the food is not spicy at all! I ordered a 5 on a 5 out of 10 scale and it tasted like there had been zero spice added, which was disappointing. The portion sizes are also a little small relative to the price. The food was still ok and service was decent as well, but it wasn't mind blowingly amazing. I do feel like there were some inconsistencies because my friend's curry was apparently really good, but my other friend's fried curry rice was more mediocre, like the noodles that I got.
