2 years agoThis doctor has given me so much time, patiently answering every question and taking my opinions into account when making treatment decisions. He can have a gruff bedside manner but whoever gets to know him will realize how much he cares and keeps up with current research. Pretty sure every person at that office has bent over backwards for me over the years. Thank God for Atlantic Gastro.

Edited 2 years agoEdited 6/2 Per the response from Dr Kaufmans office, I I sent an email. No response from the email. Ended up getting a new reference from my primary. This is very unprofessional. If I could give zero stars I would. I have not even seen this doctored yet. I was given a referral for Dr Kaufam, by my primary care doctor. I called the surgery center by mistake the first time. They answered right awwy and cave me the correct number. I have called and called and called with no answer. There is no voice mail for anyone to even call you back. Good thing this is not an emergency. I guess I need to go back to my doctor for a different referral.

3 years agoThis Dr is OUTSTANDING. He is so kind and knowledgeable. Professional while being human. Since COVD I believe we as a community have lost some faith in some of our medical information. Not at this office. Gasto health is a serious issue not to be taken lightly. I'm a nurse and a person suffering with some issues. You will not be disappointed with the treatment from staff , nursing the access center. Everyone is on the same page. They all care about your health. I am very grateful my good friend Dr Nahas another great Dr recommended me to see AGA. All of the Drs are awesome at the practice. I'm just grateful we have them. And I'm especially grateful for Dr Kaufman and Dr Matusow. God bless all of these kind souls.

3 years agoFirst time I’ve seen Dr. Kaufman. I’ve been seeing Dr. Santoro for almost 18 years. He was the most compassionate, helpful, amazing doctor ever. One visit with Dr. Kaufman and I will NEVER go back. Rude, condescending and completely offensive with a horrible bedside manner! He’s a horrible human being. Do not believe a word in his bio on the website. It’s all lies. There’s not a compassionate bone in his body.

3 years agoI don’t know what happened to this place. Everyone has changed except anesthesiologists. In the 20 years I have been going, completely different attitudes. I woke up my blood w cuff was digging in my arm and asked the girl to move it and she wouldn’t and had to raise my voice to get her to move it. Even Dr Kaufman was very snappy with me. Talked down to me. I always have referred people to this office and never again.

5 years agoBarry saved my life 20 years ago this Spring. I went to many doctors and finally ended up at Barry Kaufmans offer and within a half hour he sent me for a CAT scan and found out my condition. I still see Dr Kaufman today. Excellent doctor and excellent group of doctors.
