Had asked for a glass of pinot nior . I didn’t like the one I tasted that was 18 per glass so he suggested a drier one. Lo and behold price mot discussed, my fault. It was 50 a glass ! I hate when they upsell without disclosing the price! Shocked two glasses of wine 100!
I had a disturbing experience with a bartender who displayed blatant racism. I was ordering wine to go for my husband and, while signing the check, he insisted I give him a tip of 10-20%. I chose to give him a 20% tip out of courtesy. However, he kept pulling the pen away as I was trying to write. When I told him I was a US citizen, he dismissed my answer and demanded to know where I was "really" from. I explained that I was from Indonesia, and as I walked away, he had the audacity to say “xie xie” (thank you in Chinese). This behavior is unacceptable and outright disrespectful.
The bartender provided subpar service and demonstrated a lack of urgency, which is essential in a fast-paced environment. Waiting 20 minutes for a drink and an additional 20 minutes to close a tab is unacceptable, especially when patrons may have time-sensitive commitments, such as catching a flight. This level of inefficiency needs to be addressed to improve the overall customer experience.
