Its Monmouth County Tree now, estimate was way too high, did not use them.
I hired Layne and his company to trim some trees around my yard. He was recommended by a neighbor of mine, and he apparently does work for other houses on my street. I told him over the phone what I wanted and we scheduled an estimate while my wife was home and I was at work. He was an hour late to the estimate, which annoyed us, but didn't stop us from hiring him. My wife told him again what we wanted and he gave us a fair price compared to other companies around here so we hired him. Since our neighbors trusted him, we trusted him, too, and I felt the work can be done while I was at work. When the work was done, he left without consulting my wife to make sure we were happy with the work. When I got home to see the work, I noticed branches hanging over my neighbors' house, which is the main reason we needed service done to our trees. I called him and calmly asked him if he can come back next week and trim the trees I asked him to trim in the first place. He sighed real loud, sounded exasperated and told me it was going to cost me more money. I explained to him that was what we asked him to do which was apart of the estimate. He blamed my wife over and over again for not understanding what he told her he was going to do, and got louder and louder when I asked him how he is going to straighten this out; that I only want what we asked and what was apart of the estimate. By the end of the phone call, there was a lot of yelling and no resolution. Please don't use this company. I am a very calm person and am not one to argue with businesses, but this company refused to make things right even though we had more than one conversation about what we needed done. He straight up ripped us off. Stay away from them.
Sloppy work. Once they do the work they'll never answer you back if you have follow up questions. Plenty others to chose from.
