Best place to go in Freeport. Beautiful beach that’s not crowded or rocky. The food was great and $5 drinks can’t be beat. Plus the staff was super nice. I will go back there every time I’m in the area.
Was there in August 2025 with 4 friends, and our only regret was taking so long to decide what to do, and not bringing swim suits, bit that didnt stop us from going in the BEAUTIFUL water, amd lunch at Bernies was OFF THE CHAIN, and the bar .... fantastic When i come back to Freeport, i WILL be going back.!
Wow, what a delicious lunch and fun time we had at Bernie's. It is right on the beach. The music was upbeat, the view over the ocean fabulous and the meals individually prepared. Three Magaritas and a Red Snapper lunch that we split cost $35.00.
Food was delicious, service was great and it’s right on the beach! Music playing, beach chairs, close to the bathrooms. Wonderful people running it. Drinks were great, $5 each! My kids had a blast.
Absolutely loved this place. The beach is beautiful, the drinks are cold and the snapper is amazing! Staff was great loved them!
5-Star Review for Bernie’s Tiki Hut - Freeport, Bahamas 🌴🍹 Paradise Found at Bernie’s Tiki Hut! 🍹🌴 If you’re in Freeport, skip the fancy resorts and head straight to Bernie’s Tiki Hut for the ultimate beachside bliss! We stumbled upon this gem during our cruise stop (it’s right on the stunning Taino Beach, easy to find as the first stall you enter), and it was hands down the highlight of our trip. The vibe is pure island magic – colorful picnic tables on the sand, gentle waves crashing nearby, and Bernie and Bernadette greeting everyone like old friends with their infectious smiles and warm hospitality. It’s rustic, fun, and feels like a true local secret, not some tourist trap! The food? Oh man, where do I even start? We devoured the cracked conch (so tender and flavorful, prepared fresh right in front of us!), grilled snapper that was perfectly seasoned and crispy, and a side of conch salad that was zesty and refreshing. Bernie and his Wife made us feel right at home, chatting with us about island life and even letting us join in the fun around the fire. The beach is gorgeous and mostly empty, perfect for relaxing post-meal. We’ve been to tons of spots in the Bahamas, but this one’s got heart and soul. We’ll be back next time – 5 stars isn’t enough; it’s a 10/10! 🇧🇸🦪 Photos & Videos Attached:
Thank you Bernadette & Antuan, It’s a real Bahamian experience, the authentic food served on the beach. The best lobster, conch, snapper, ribs, BBQ Chicken and Bahama Mama. Fresh food served by the most wonderful couple. Then and now.
Bernie and her staff were awesome! We got there at 10 AM and they were ready for us. We got of the cruise ship and jumped on a group van taxi for $14 per person round trip. They dropped us right off at Bernie's about a 30 minute drive. We arrived to a beautiful but very windy day on the beach! The drinks were great, $5 each! The good was delicious, we got the lobster tails and they were seasoned very nicely. Way better than the 2lb lobster we bought for lunch on the ship! I highly recommend going here when you visit Freeport!
