I bought the family meal deal and added a large onion ring. To my dismay I only got 5 onion rings and paid $5.99 for them. The next time I made the same order and got a reasonable amount of onion rings, but was only given 4 burgers. I went back to check the menu and make sure you were still supposed to get 5 and it states 5 burgers, yet I only got 4. I have been a customer of best burger since the 60’s and have always been satisfied, however now I will never set foot in the restaurant again. I had to go to Griff’s so the whole family could eat. Griff’s is as good or better than Best Burger and at least they don’t try to cheat you. I would not recommend anyone going to Best Burger anymore. If you do I seriously suggest you double check your order. Griff’s is only a few blocks further from the house, but at least they actually give you what you order and a reasonable amount for a reasonable price. I will really miss Best Burger, but if they can’t do better they need to go. $34.00+ for 5 (in reality 4 since they cheated me) hamburgers, fries and rings is expensive enough. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. You will not fool me again and I hope you go out of business and let some honest people take over.
Must have been some time since this place was living up to its name. Absolutely no way it's the same guy making these burgers. My 'best burger' came on a frozen patty and untoasted buns! I may as well have gone across the street for a Circkle K burger because it tasted the same... Very disappointed considering Griff's is down the road and I came here from a word of mouth recommendation.
We try to make it here once a week whenever we can, and Best Burgers truly lives up to the name—the BEST BURGERS in San Antonio. If you’re looking for a hole-in-the-wall gem, this is it. Great food, awesome service, and good prices. Highly recommended!
