Very good BBQ, better than most of the top chains. I had a Trash-plate and a two meat plate with pork ribs and chicken. The food was very good and the low price was amazing. BBQ of this quality and quantity typically cost much more. This restaurant is now on my list of must haves while traveling through Texas.
I don't got to a lot of BBQ restaurants, but I can say this one will have my business again. The food was amazing, and honestly a decent price given just how much food they give you. I got the "trash plate" and substituted the fritos for Mac & cheese (hidden under the meat and beans). The BBQ sauce is somewhat needed to complete the flavor of the pork, but they allow you to get as much as you need and you honestly only need about two cups, to be honest. I love seeing small businesses thrive, and at 23 years in the making, how's about we make it a whopping 50 years!
We were very hungry. Been craving brisket and barbecue. The brisket was very disappointing. It was too dry. My husband thought the same. He makes brisket and if his turned out this way, I would say it was a fail. But it never hurts to give something a try. We won't be back though.
