Used to be our favorite place in town to get wings. The last four times we have had a horrible experience and will not be back. The sauce is either wrong or hardly sauced at all on top of old precooked wings. I have given them multiple chances and I just cannot bring myself to patronize this business anymore. I never complain about food when eating out, but enough is enough. We are very disappointed.
Solid 4, 4.5 if I had the option. The food is very tasty; I had a Philly and Fries and you could tell the peppers were grilled to order with the sandwich, giving it a good pop of color and letting you taste the fresh produce. What I would say they're missing as far as the menu I saw was "their" entree. The burger they named for themselves was a facsimile of a Super Big Boy from Frisch's; I'd like to see something unique that says "Bex" rather than borrowing someone else's idea. Service was perfect, in my opinion. I'm not a big fan of chain restaurants checking in every 5 minutes when I'm just trying to enjoy time out with my wife so that they were attentive but not over chatty showed me they could read the table. They were friendly and chatty with other folks who wanted that but it was nice to have someone who understood that's not really my speed. The atmosphere was all right. Old school diner style booths with a bar, the expected accouterments like neon and brands hanging on the wall. Half of the walls seemed a bit empty, though, as if they were still working on decorations. As with the signature entree, I think they need something that expresses the restaurant's identity more strongly. Super important detail, too; the food reheats really well. I microwaved my leftovers about 6 hours after they were made and they were still 90% of what I got in the restaurant. That's a good indicator that you're not just eating a bunch of fat and filler. I think they're on their way. Little more time, something in the menu and on the walls that's unique to them; I want to see this place establish its own identity a little more. Definitely stop in; it's a scrappy up and comer with a good foundation.
