Local standard for fried chicken and other delicious foods. One of the oldest iconic restaurants in the city.
Best chicken around. Moist & cooked well. Quick place to pickup lunch and dinner 🍽 yummy desserts 🥧
Meh is the best I can do. The nostalgia is great and service was fast. The chicken is fried perfectly but zero seasoning and the same with the fries. They were hot and crisp but we're plain. The lemonade tasted like minute made with lemon slices. Had to try here but not a must go to.
Disappointed. I ordered 6 piece chicken with fries and rolls. They gave me the wrong order and only received 6 wings and paid 22 dollars. The other reviews are also right about the lady at the window having an attitude. This place is seriously over hyped.
Chicken livers were raw. Maybe it was an off day (1-5-26). Hopefully that was the case.
I ordered from here a few days ago, the food is great but the older lady with the braids needs to fix her attitude. I can’t even finish saying my entire order without her cutting me off. We come here to spend our money not deal with stank attitudes.
Waited 30+ minutes in line for gizzards and fried okra. The okra was delicious. The gizzards was so tough they was inedible. It was like chewing a rubber band. Will not be back. Why does nobody know how to make gizzards tender.
Long time fan of this place in general. This particular location needs to expanded. They rebuilt the place and still didn’t put any barriers down. Service is slowwwww. They are in no hurry at all. Non-friendly attitudes. The food tasted the same. Okra was really dark. Like the grease needed to be changed. Rolls were softer than before. GO EARLY! Since the reopening, this place has been nothing but PACKED. Lines long to the road.
