Simply THE BEST fried fish I ever had, EVER!!! I am not a catfish person but the way this was prepared was truly amazing. The breading was perfectly seasoned and perfectly crispy. The fish was not too gamy, had a great flavor and was super moist. The fried chicken wings were also amazing, as were the salmon croquets! Go with a few people so you can order a bunch of items and eat there so you are eating as good is ready. Thank you for doing what you do with the love you do it with! Locals here are very lucky to have a place like this.
We got the baked chicken with Mac and cheese and cabbage. The baked chicken was dry and Luke warm. The Mac and cheese was not good at all soggy noodles and runny, the cabbage was alright. Not my personal preference. My bf got the fried chicken with fried potatoes and Mac. His chicken was juicy and well seasoned, nice and hot. The fried potatoes were really good as well. The banana pudding is more like a yogurt with strawberries and wafers. It was ok but not my type of banana pudding when it comes to soul food, southern style banana pudding. The customer service was great though the ladies were pretty quick and kind. Im from Atlanta so I’m used to real southern style cooking. probably won’t be back
We had the pleasure of meeting the ‘2nd generation’ proprietor and was very pleased with her down to earth manner. The food was served with generous portions and the smothered pork chops were mouth watering! My husband and I made mention we were in town for our anniversary and promised to definitely come back if in the area.
