Big Wave Burritos has the best burritos in town. Huge and stuffed with all the fixings. Absolutely fantastic service, thanks Jaiden. You gotta try the El Yucateco Hot sauce.
Food was authentic and delicious, the portions generous, the prices fair, and the service friendly. Great selection of hot sauces! Top-notch place, top-notch vibes.
Cute place but we waited over 40 minutes for our food while we watched everyone else get theirs. Just as we were about to ask how much longer it would be one of the girls approached us and asked if we were waiting for anything. We told her the name of the order and she went to the counter and grabbed a bag that had been sitting there for over 20 minutes. Originally, they had told us when we ordered that they would bring it out to us when it was ready. I get mistakes happen and things get forgotten but there was barely an apology when she brought out our food that was now cold. Not only was the food cold since it had been sitting there for so long but the flavor just wasn’t worth it. We were surprised at how bland it was even though it appeared to be seasoned. The bathroom that is used by both employees and customers had a soap dispenser that was filled with mostly water. Sadly I would not recommend this place because it seems like nobody there cares and the food is not good. I have worked in food service for several years and this is unacceptable.
Total Ripoff – $14 for This? Paid $14 for what looked like big fried shrimp, but it was all breading with a tiny shrimp hidden inside. Complete scam. If I wanted a ball of fried dough, I wouldn’t have paid seafood prices.
I ordered an açaí bowl and it was warm and watery like a pudding consistency!! (Açaí bowls are supposed to be frozen almost like ice cream consistency) Chips were super hard burnt, and the salsa is flavorless, it tasted pretty much like mushed bland tomatoes. Spend almost $30 on both things and was super disappointed. We ended up throwing it all away and going somewhere else for lunch. I’m a local and I have gotten there açaí bowls & chips and salsa several times last summer and it is not the same this year. Maybe new staff and cooks? Idk. Prob won’t be back.
Stopped in for late dinner on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. Ordered fish (cod) tacos and a chicken burrito. Staff was nice and food didn’t take long to get (we waited maybe 5-10 minutes). My husbands burrito was just fine but bland and my tacos weren’t that great. The iceberg lettuce and cheddar cheese on a fish taco was a weird combo. For $33 I’m not sure I would head back here again.
Fantastic spot for breakfast or lunch! A group of us were walking in downtown Cape May and decided to try Big Wave Burritos, man what a great choice. I ordered a Burrito with the Buffalo Cauliflower. The burrito was fantastic, filled with fresh ingredients and the buffalo cauliflower was crispy and tasty. My friends all ordered various Acai Bowls and they all were bowls filled with amazing flavors. We will be going back! Totally recommend.
We got the rice bowl w fried cod, lettuce, tomatoes beans and rice. 3 fish tacos-cod tomatoes cheese lettuce tomato. Chicken tacos-chicken lettuce tomato cheese. I added hot sauces to my tacos. Food is fresh to order. Places is bright clean and laid back feel. Tacos served on metal tray. Bowl comes in a recyclable bowl. Tacos are served on a recyclable holder that seperates 3 tacos. A family across from us ordered the nachos. Big portions of the nachos. I'll try the nachos next time. 5 burritos out of 5 burritos. 🌮🌯🥙
