Went here for dinner on Sat night we live close by I have to say first time I have gone out to dinner and not eaten. They were out of many items on menu. My husband ordered clam strips Since the had none of the things I wanted I ordered clam Chowder. Food came and not impressed. The clam chowder was like water and had a sour taste one bite and I pushed it away. The clam strips were more better than clam. The baked potato was wrapped in foil and the condiments were served in plastic bottles like a diner. Needless to day I will not go back we were the only ones in the restaurant and service was slow.
This place takes me back the the themed restaurants that I remember when I was a kid in the 70s. Melissa was my waitress and she was amazing! So kind and attentive. I got the steak and shrimp. Steak was such a tasty cut of beef, it needed NO salt or pepper. Perfectly cooked. Delicious. The blackened shrimp were fantastic as well. The baked potato was cooked perfectly. Fresh salad bar. I will DEFINITELY be coming back!
First time trying Billy the Kid's. Walked in and we were seated immediately. Server came up shortly after to take our drink order and brought out some delicious hush puppies and cinnamon butter. For sure my most favorite part of the meal. We ordered the flounder stuffed with crab meat and the large seafood platter. Presentation was good, however I found two (raw) shrimp in the crab stuffing. I placed them to the side and they actually cooked themselves on the skillet plate (it was so hot.) I did have the salad bar with my meal. Not much variety, but enough for a basic small salad. Both meals overall were fine. I would rate this restaurant as just okay. The inside is very dated, but satisfactory enough for a meal. I would not rush back, but also would not say anything too terrible about it, either.
