See All ReviewsTo me, it's over priced, I can go down the road eat the same thing and not pay as much. Fixed income people that don't make much. Under 1k a month struggle. A waffle is expensive. Theres not that much difference than a pancake which it's basically just cooked differently. And the cost is up there. I would have loved a waffle, but, I had to choose something more cost effective and healthier. Otherwise no complaints from me.
It took nearly 15 minutes before the server took my order. I was there for lunch and only had an hour. There were 2 women working but only 1 taking orders. Fortunately it didn't take long to get my food. I planned to take home the leftovers but the server never came back to offer me a box. I left half my meal sitting on the table. The price of the food has increased dramatically. Apparently the owner hasn't gotten the memo that the price of eggs has gone down. The cost of 2 eggs and toast -- NOTHING ELSE INCLUDED -- is almost $7. 1 pancake is $5 and a Belgian waffle is $10. I definitely see why they're not as busy as they used to be.
We’re new to Tavares and visited Billy’s Café for breakfast for the first time last week — and now I see why it has such a big following online! My husband and I went for a breakfast date and tried the pancakes, biscuits and gravy, an omelet, and some hash browns. Everything was delicious and definitely something we’d order again. The portions were generous (we even had plenty to take home), and the prices were great! We’ll definitely be back, and when the grandparents visit our kids, Billy’s Café will be the first place we take them. It’s sure to become a go-to spot for our family of five!
