a month agoI waited to post this reviee until after I had tried almost everything... And I can say this. place. ROCKS. I'm not Muslim myself, nor do I adhere to the halal diet, but this restaurant is AMAZING. The burgers and fried chicken are beautifully seasoned and perfectly juicy. The veggies they use to dress the sandwiches are fresh, and the fries are always freshly prepared and crispy. The customer service honestly barely exists, but that doesn't detract from the service at all. All the food is made on the spot. Once an order comes in, they quickly start preparing everything to order. When they hand you the food, they ask if there's anything else they can help you with, and if you ask they provide. I honestly have loved it so much, I've recommended it highly to friends and coworkers alike. I can't wait for their Café portion to open, as I'm so excited to try the different confections they will offer 😆 Also worth noting that, considering the portion sizes, I would say they are well priced!

2 months agoThe menu claims 1/3 pound patties but they were no where close. Super thin meat that was over cooked and over spiced. Tasted more like Chapli kabob then a burger. Their sauce is overly sweet. The spicy cheese curds were very good but again the dipping sauce too sweet. Spicey fries were ok, nothing special. Price is good comparatively speaking but I won't be coming back.

3 months agoExceptional! I’m not sure why yelp reviews are mid to poor, because these burgers have phenomenal taste, perfectly seasoned! The sauce goes well with the burgers. The chicken and beef burgers both an A+ for my gf and I.

4 months agoStopped by this burger spot and was genuinely impressed. The beef is fresh, halal, and you can taste the quality in every bite. The burgers come out quickly without sacrificing flavor, and everything feels well prepared and consistent.

5 months agoVery good smash burger. Very small menu, so only go if you’re looking for a burger. Food comes quickly. Plenty of seating and open dining space. Parking can be a bit tight at times.

5 months agoFantastic burger joint! It’s a little hard to find especially at night, since it’s in the back behind a bunch of other restaurants. They serve halal smash burgers that are juicy, generously portioned, and with excellent seasoning. The seasoning is unique as it has somewhat a middle eastern influence, and isn’t something you would find at other burger places. I got the triple burger with fries and everything came out fast. Fries were crispy as well. This is probably one of the best burger joints in the DMV.

6 months agoThe burger is SO GOOD here, only odd things are the dining area felt like it was in a state of flux and it was really cold inside. It looks like it wants to have a cute vibe but that it never got finished. Still worth it to go grab a burger

7 months agoWe visited Black Salt & Black Sugar as a group of friends this weekend, and it was an amazing experience. Their burger is honestly one of the best we’ve ever had — full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere was great for a weekend hangout, and the service was friendly and quick. Highly recommend giving this place a try. We’ll definitely be coming back again!
