I received my food burnt and inedible. This establishment has no respect for people’s time and money because why are customers being served burnt chicken and soggy plaintains. I don’t recommend eating here because your money will be wasted. 0/10

I tried Blue Mountain Jamaican Restaurant on Backlick Road and overall, the food was okay. I wouldn’t say it was phenomenal, but it was decent and the food that was already prepared came out pretty quickly. The meat patties did take a little longer, which was understandable, but worth noting. My biggest issue was that there was no working toilet available at the time of my visit. The clerk mentioned it should be fixed within a week, but that’s still a pretty big inconvenience for customers. The dining area also isn’t very comfortable if you plan to eat there, since there are only a few small tables and it feels more suited for takeout. The drink selection was also disappointing. There were only a few high-sugar Jamaican sodas available, and when I asked what drinks they had, the clerk didn’t really seem to know, so I had to check the fridge myself. Service was a little confusing as well. The clerk kept going to the back after taking each order to prepare the food, which left the front counter unattended. Other customers came in and seemed unsure whether anyone was available to help them. Overall, the food was decent, but the restaurant could improve the customer experience by fixing the restroom issue, offering better drink options, making the seating area more comfortable, and having someone consistently available at the front counter. I’d consider coming back for takeout, but probably not for dining in.
