2 weeks agoWhat can I say besides that I feel Bob Bob has some of the best food in Houston. I don’t even want to put it in a box and call it. The best soul food or Cajun creole food. It’s just good food home-cooked from scratch. I Always feel appreciated And welcomed when I go to this place. I’ve quite tried quite a few things on the menu but this time it was good enough for me to make a review on Google. I tried the pick chicken half-and-half with an overload. My God was the food good but it was a lot I literally have enough for lunch and dinner. Money well spent definitely will be a returning customer. Keep up the good job Bobob’s.

2 weeks agoHands down the best customer service I have ever experienced! It is a very family oriented environment; it feels like you’re eating at grandma’s house. The absolute best grits ever. All the food is very flavorful but not overly seasoned. The entire family/staff engaged/chatted with us!

3 weeks agoWe stopped in last night and met Ms. Angel and she made it hard to choose after giving us samples of several of their dishes. Order anything here and you won't be disappointed! It was like being in my Great Grandma's kitchen again 💓 We ordered 4 different dishes to share because we couldn't decide. She makes the best grits I've ever had!

a month agoI went here on Friday for the first time and this place is life changing-ly delicious 🤤🤤 i got the hot topic, my friend got the overload. my other friend got the pork chop but bc they ran out they subbed her for ribs instead and we are so impressed at their generosity (given the ribs are a lot more expensive) and customer service. The people are also sooo nice and they gave us free samples of the overload which was so sweet. :) Onto the food, it was sooo tasty and the fish is so soft and tender and the portions are a full plate so there’s enough to take home. I really appreciate how they put a lot of the protein and not as much pasta (some places have big portions but its mostly the carb). Finally, they are the real deal bc I reheated the food and it is just as tasty and high quality as when I got it! Overall the service is super great and the food is sooo delicious it’s even better than all the creole food i got in NOLA please try it it’s perfect I’m so excited to go back!

a month agoI LOVED BOBOOB'! Food was beyond delicious and worth the price! I got fish and shrimp with side of gumbo! Gumbo is GONE! Lol I still have a filet of fish(I had three filets) and over 20 shrimp ( I had 7 left!) I appreciate the samples. I loved the grits! Angel (Jack Yates class of 88), husband and daughters were the sweetest ever!!! I enjoyed my time there and as I watched them interact with others, I realize they were genuinely nice people- probably why the food was gooooood! There was a guy there from Colorado working in the Medical Center this week and when I tell you he left NOTHING on his plate!! Clean! He had a medium gumbo- it was gone before his fish and grits came out and he had some "purple" Kool-aid! If my phone had not died and I would have had my charger, I would probably still be sitting there! Lol Will I be back? Heck yea!!!!😋😁💜

3 months agoHoly Cow. Walk in and you’re greeted by the nicest people in Houston. Sit down at the counter and you’re handed samples of the fresh delicious home cooked foods! You are served copious amounts of(did I mention) FRESH AND DELICIOUS food!!

3 months agoIf I could give this spot a 10 I would. An amazing atmosphere. Ivory, and the two ladies up front are amazing people to be around. They made us feel like family. We tried their staples and in the end went with a half and half because I couldn't decide. Glad I did, because the food is outstanding! Wish I lived closer to come often. This will always be my 1st stop for food when I am in Houston. Thank you for making my daughter's day. She could not stop talking about meeting yall and the experience she had. God Bless!!!

3 months agoFood is incredible!!!! Ordered the shrimp and grits and had the pleasure of sampling some dish containing broccoli, chicken, & cornbread. This is definitely food for the soul! Music played in the background cultivating a nice relaxing environment for you to enjoy your food. 10/10 recommend!!!
