a month agoWe waited 20 minutes at our table and then I went to the register to tell them that we were waiting for a server. They didn't know we were there. Not many customers at tables inside or on the patio, just no service. We then ordered ice tea with no lemon and were brought two lemon slices in each of our drinks. They seem to cater to the popular crowd. The atmosphere is nice but the service is "entitled and spoiled". The food was good but for the same price, you can get better portions at Moe's and the employees are more receptive.

2 months agoThis place has some Really Good Lemon Pepper wings! I went in drive thru. Service was awesome. Wait wasn't long. I had to make myself stop eating so I could give some to my mom. I can't wait to take her here.

2 months agoOrdered to go, operator quoted me 45 mins which I don’t mind as long as they a honest. BLT was more than generous on bacon for sure, voodoo shrimp probably not the best togo choice but was definitely wiped out. Added clam chowder and it was the best I’ve had in a while. Staff was friendly and quick. Overall great experience!

3 months agoPattie melt was so good I forgot to take a picture. I should have split the sandwich with by buddy but finished it anyway. That hurt. Tater tots were cooked to perfection with just a hint of crispy crunch. Server was attentive but not obnoxiously so. Perfect. I’ll be back! 🤤

3 months agoMy wife and I do not eat our often, as we are generally disappointed in the quality of the food and/or the service. The Brown Lantern was a very welcome surprise while we visited family in Live Oak! We did wait over half an hour for our meals to arrive, but it was worth it! The front of the menu specifically notes that everything is cooked fresh and to expect it to take this amount of time to be served. Being adults that can read, we were not put off by this fact. Everything we ordered was cooked and seasoned well, and served hot! The portions were generous, and we had zero complaints. Cheyenne was our server, and she did a great job of ensuring we had anything we needed and were satisfied with our experience. I was a little skeptical when she did not write down our orders, but she is a pro and didn't miss a single thing! She took our order shortly after we were seated and promptly served us our drinks. If you prioritize speed over quality, feel free to go elsewhere. If you have the time, however, it is entirely worth the wait. We WILL DEFINITELY return to The Brown Lantern when we visit Live Oak again.

3 months agoWent through drive thru this evening, it was AMAZING! The wonderful amazing waitress was so friendly and personable! She was amazing also! I had the fish dinner. The portion was honestly for 2 people. The fish was cooked to perfection, the homemade coleslaw was soooo good! I actually called to give my compliments to the cook because they hit this out of the ballpark! Thank you! And definitely worth every penny!

7 months agoWow! This is truly the best restaurant I have been to in a while! I am here for work and a friend recommended this place and it is phenomenal!! The coleslaw is spectacular and the homemade tartar sauce is delectable. The homemade ranch on the salad was fresh and delicious. The popcorn shrimp were a perfect size and the light batter was delicious! Keep up the amazing work you do and thank you for the soectular meal!!!

9 months agoI recently visited the Brown Lantern Restaurant at 417 E Howard St, in Live Oak, FL. This was a recommended place and it certainly was a good experience. Not only the staff, but the interior decor and of course the wings that I ordered. When in the area, get a beer and place your order and enjoy it.
