2 years agoMy biggest problem with this place is the way I saw customers treated. No respect. The other employees playing games running around spraying wasp spray right over the fryers killing flies. Dropping chicken in the floor and putting right into the deli box along with other food they dropped. I left because I was not about that. What ever hit the floor I threw away and was fussed at by the owner and coworkers that I was throwing money away. Wake up people. Roaches everywhere. Very nasty place and very nasty people running it. Was even told they had to have an employee not of their race to hide how racist they are.

4 years agoChicken was fresh and delicious. I've never had any better. Potato wedges are AMAZING. They must be cut from fresh potatoes right in the store. Dinner rolls and baked beans were straight from the package. Nothing special but they were good and fresh. Service was great. Store was clean.

4 years agoThis place has the absolute best fried chicken. They also have competitive gas prices, and if you buy more than 10 gallons of gas, you get a free piece of chicken. Also, Mr Brown is very helpful and funny. The one downside is that the store is closed on Sunday lol.

6 years agoThis is the best fried chicken we’ve ever had!! Wonderful, friendly family owned business. Green beans are wonderful as well. Love this place and like others have said, I drive 45 min for this chicken. Thank you, Brown’s!!

8 years agoI seriously love this place. Convenient location. Excellent fried chicken and sides. It's my favorite fried chicken in Charlottesville. It's always super moist with a salty and flavorful spice on the breading which is more like an original recipe than a crunchy/thick breading style. Just thinking of this place is making my tummy rumble. I recommend it to everyone. The selection of chips and drinks is really impressive as well for such a small spot. Everyone who works there is friendly and fast.

8 years agoFilling up your gas tank is never fun, but Brown's is the only exception! If you buy 10 or more gallons of gas, you get a free piece of their delicious chicken. What better way to support a local business? Great place.

9 years agoSuch a friendly family run business. The chicken is unmatched by anyone else, and their potatoes are heavenly. Absolutely wonderful service and you get free chicken with a 10 gallon gas purchase!
