2 weeks agoWe’ve been waiting for a brunch spot to come to Humble & they didn’t disappoint. The food is great & the service is wonderful. I’ve already been to this place multiple times & I’m sure I’ll be back again 😏 I give this place an 8.5/10 ✨

3 weeks agoI took myself on a date here. Food was room temp—nearly no heat at all, but the service was good. I didn’t complain because the service always does it for me when I’m out to eat. As long as the food isn’t disgusting, I can handle the temperature being a little off. Balance. lol. I’d go again.

a month agoFirst time coming here and 10/10. The restaurant had a great setting and not to mention we got to meet the chef on our first visit, which just made the experience 10 times better. First impression is everything and this lets me know he cares about his costumers. The food was DELICIOUS, i can see why they've been so busy. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait cause we got there around 10am but i can see it getting busier later in the day. Regardless i wouldn't mind waiting. The prices are reasonable in my opinion, i love to try new restaurants and i don't mind paying as long as the food and service is great, which this place met all my expectations. So to the owners, chefs and staff, Thank you for bringing this amazing place to our side of town. I had the Prawns & Petals with friend catfish added to it and the pictures don't do any justice, it was absolutely amazing. Our server Josh recommended it but the chef also confirmed it was a great choice, and he wasn't wrong. Thank you ☺️ can't wait to return to try other items on the menu.

3 months agoA Royal Return to the Roots at Brunch and Bloom Dining at Brunch and Bloom with “Cooking with Chef James” was far more than a meal; it was a homecoming. From the moment I was welcomed, the customer service felt regal, intentional, and deeply personal, as if I were an honored guest invited into a sacred space. Each interaction carried warmth and reverence, setting the tone for an experience that transcended the table. With every bite, I was transported to the kitchen of my ancestors; a place where food is memory, culture, and love all in one. This was nourishment in its highest form, feeding not only my body but also my mind and spirit. The Floral Catch more than earned its name: a masterfully cooked fish with a crispy, golden exterior giving way to a sweet, velvety interior. Paired flawlessly with creole‑infused grits, it was a dish that spoke in layers; comfort, history, and artistry all at once. This was not just brunch; it was storytelling through flavor, guided by the steady and soulful hands of Chef James. I will absolutely be back for more. Thank you for a truly royal experience; one that lingers long after the last bite.

Edited 3 months agoWhen we arrived we were told a 30 minute wait which was no biggie. So my friend and I waited the 30 minutes and made our way into the resturants. The hostess (which I found out later was 1 of owners) told us that 2 more people were ahead of us. There were 2 seats available at the bar and we asked if we could sit there and she said sure. So me and my friend make our way over to the bar and seat and we were greeted by a gentleman ( which I soon discovered was the other owner) he was so cool and personable. I was overjoyed to see a husband and wife duo handling business and although the resturant was packed their demeanor was one of leveled and professional. The ambience was nice, it gave rich Auntie vibes. My only suggestion would be is to add a foot bar for our feet rest instead of them judt dangling. I even appreciated that they were washing the glasses by hand. Sometimes them dishwashers are not reliable. Our server Stephanie was hands down 10 out of 10. She was on top her stuff. She gave great recommendations and gave service with a smile. The food took some time to come out but not so long that you got irritated. And when I tell you the food is worth the wait honey it didn't disappoint. The food was so good my friend asked for the chef and he came out and we complimented the food. It's rare to find good food and good service in a black owned restaurant but I must say the tone was set. I will surely be back. 3/5/26 So I went back for brunch and ordered something new to make sure the 1st time wasn't an accident and believe you me it was not. The mimosas was doing what it was supposed to be doing. I order thr famous blueberry bloom biscuit( I think that's what it's called) and that biscuits was the right kind of good. It was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. My only suggestion would be to add blueberries in the biscuit dough. The blueberry topping is not overly sweet and I like that. I also ordered the breakfast fried rice and it came with a lamb chop. The plate lacked nothing. The rice was so good its had all the breakfast meats and the lamb chop was overcooked slightly but not so bad that I would send it back. One of the owners was there yet again working. I can't praise her enough. She is so sweet and patient. And per the usual go sit with my girl Stephanie she is hands down the best server.

4 months agoI visited for the first time and really enjoyed it. My tastebuds were delighted. I had the lamb fried rice. I am excited to try other items on the menu. The ambience was good, music was good, service was good. Chef James came out to say hello, he is very nice and personable.

4 months agoThis place is so nice inside and the food is amazing! We came in a Sunday at 3ish and the food was still fresh and amazing and nothing about it felt rushed. The service was great and the food was even better. I recommend NOT passing up the homeade biscuit or the breakfast fried rice!!

4 months agoMy hubby and I decided to try out this little gem for the first time today (we love brunch) …. it was absolutely perfect! The food was AMAZING! We ordered 2 more dishes to take home for dinner tonight (it was that good) …Stephanie our waitress was fabulous and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, his wife and the chiefs - it was more than just brunch it was a great experience! We’ll be back as “regulars” no doubt! If I could give 10 stars I would! CHEERS to this great little hot spot! 🥂🥂
