6 years agoThis place is horrible...the food was old and dry. We asked about fresh food and you would of thought we asked for a refund. Norris the old security guard followed us like we was going to stick something in our pocket he was beyond prejudice but considering his age it was expected....I called before I drove over a hour to see if my 10yr old son could just come in for dinner they claimed he was welcomed but when we got here we was treated horribly.

6 years agoFor 30 dollars a person I think the buffet is over rated. We went for the prime rib and crab legs. The prime rib was delicious. That was the only thing worth having. The crab legs were over cooked to the point the shells had dried out amd inside was crab jerky. I thought maybe it was a fluke and the first tray had sat to long while prepping the rest of the buffet but every tray after that continued the disappointment. The cheese cake was nothing compared to the Cheesecake Factory in Grand Rapids. It was flat and tasteless. I will not be returning. That being said the wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and the chairs and table were in great condition. They really just need to fix the food issues.

6 years agoI arrived at 12:30pm/Lunch. My party each paid 12 dollars. The staff were attentive, respectful, and kind. However, every piece of food was disappointing to say the least. It was obviously old as if it was there all day or possibly all night. Wrinkled and oddly textured every bite was a struggle to swallow. Myself and 2 additional left the restaurant dissatisfied and with upset stomachs. I am now bedridden and poisoned and I only hope my friends are not going through what I am. I'm sorry Big Lake Buffet but my rating will only be 1 star.

8 years agothe food is very blah and they barely give you any prime rib and i had a chicken alfredo type deal with capers and i found a maggot in it it was discusting so i asked to talk to the manager and she said that she wouldve covered our bill but it was already comped since my uncle gambles there and hasbeen since the place opened so i told the manager well you need to do somthing because a maggot is unacceptable and she said she wasnt sure what she could do so i then asked her if shed like me to put reviews on google yelp and get up and tell everyone in the buffet and she said what would you like for me to do so i asked if i could have the entire tables meal covered at the new steak house and they agreed! a 260 dolllar bill free. the only reason they get 2 stars is because of their effort to fix the issue.

9 years agoThe food has improved at the remodeled buffet. Waiting to see what the food will be like when the added section is in place.

9 years agoStaff is nice but food could be so much better just seems blah..desserts have improved thought with improvement some made to sports bar their food is really good was hoping to see a difference compared to other Casino'slot.
