One of the best African Cuisines in Washington DC , I highly recommend this restaurant, visiting from Birmingham Alabama and originally from Ghana west Africa, their food tasted like what is made home, I had a grilled Tilapia, goat pepper soup with pounded yam , food was great and the ambiance excellent, give it a try and you won't forget it.
This place has had a complete facelift. The new management took over about a month ago and has really transformed it into a welcoming space with warm, beautiful artwork. The service was excellent, and the staff were very attentive. The food was amazing , the jollof rice was especially good, and the pepper stew was absolutely delicious. There was also a live jazz band the night we visited, which made the atmosphere even better. it was a really classy and enjoyable experience.
Oh la la… the Chicken Suya truly melts in your mouth. It’s tender, perfectly spiced, and so full of flavor—it honestly feels like a little love letter in every bite. So, so delicious. And the heart behind it makes it even more special. The owner, who many of us adored from Addis Paris Café, has brought that same warmth and beautiful spirit into this new space. Her love for people, her gift for building community, and her genuine kindness are felt the moment you walk in. This isn’t just somewhere you go to eat—it’s somewhere you go to feel at home. This place just opened. I bet it will do wonders- a kind of place that will sends you out feeling lighter, happier, and completely hugged from the inside out.
