See All ReviewsDown home like cooking. Amazing people who work there, very clean. Fresh brewed sweet tea, like it ought to be. We met an amazing Veteran who works there too. If you want to support local, if you want to support Veterans…you have to try C and C’s. There is a sweet ice cream shop right next door. Plenty of parking downtown or right across the street at the church. Tell them the Upstate, New York people sent you. 😊
If I could give this place a 0 star rating I would. My husband and I heard about the place and wanted to try it out. We were seated at the same time as another couple. The waitress seemed to prioritize the other couple over my husband and I. She took the order of the other couple as well as my husband and I a few minutes apart. We were only served drinks. We were sitting for almost 30 minutes waiting for our order while the other couple had their food well in advance before us. They even had an error with their order, the waitress apologized and quickly fixed their order all in advance before our appetizer had even came out. When our appetizer had finally came out it was lukewarm and poorly put together the waitress responded “it wasn’t my fault”. When we brought it up to the waitress she simply took the food back with no apologies. Another white couple had walked in who seemed as though they were regulars. The waitress checked in on them and got their orders started immediately after. My husband and I were the only black couple in the restaurant at the time. At first I did not want think this would’ve been an aspect in this day and age but given the circumstances we felt as though we were poorly treated. We ended up walking out of the establishment no food, no pay. If you are black or of any color do not eat here!! You will be overlooked and treated as a low priority.
What a gem! This is GOOD classic diner fare in my mind. The portions are huge and I could not actually finish the Ultimate. I thought it was choice of meat but actually includes ALL options so too much of good things. French toast and the sausage gravy with biscuit was very good too. Coffee was outstanding too. It surprised me how good that was as I drink so many coffee all over. Prices are very low too, I almost feel guilty the check was so low. Sorry I forgot to take a picture!
