See All ReviewsToday marks my first visit to Cafe Everest Napali and Indian Cuisine. I was struck by how nice the interior of the restaurant looked. I started off by ordering Lental Soup and Garlic Naan. For my main entrée I ordered the Chicken Sekuwa. I was told that it would take a while for this item to cook. The food arrived about 40 minutes later. It was fantastic from the Sekuwa to the Butter Chicken to the Coconut Salmon.
The chicken momo filling was really flavorful though a bit skimpy. The dumplings themselves were too doughy, especially at the top where all the pleats meet. The achaar (dipping sauce) tasted peanuty and slightly acidic but overall fell flat. The soup for the jhol momos had decent flavors but unfortunately they were also too muted to save the dish from feeling a bit bland.
We ordered a chicken steamed momo, chicken jhol momo and vegetarian chilli momo. The chilli momo was the best flavor. The chicken momos themselves were good, but I wish the momo achaar (dipping sauce) and the soup were better spiced. Service was really good - they gave us complimentary daal on the house. The atmosphere was also very nice. Food: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4.5/5
