I arrived around 7PM on a Friday and watched the restaurant go from just a few tables to completely packed in a short time. Seeing the chef and staff handle that kind of rush was impressive, they kept everything running smoothly while still delivering great service and an enjoyable experience. This place is more than just a restaurant, it’s a cultural experience. From the music and atmosphere to the hospitality and the food, everything brings the energy and flavor of the Dominican Republic. It’s rare to find an authentic Dominican restaurant in South Jersey that delivers both incredible food and a vibrant ambiance like this. It’s also not your typical bodega or corner-store style Spanish food. This is a more elevated, well-crafted dining experience that still stays true to authentic Dominican flavors. I’m well traveled and have experienced many restaurants, and it’s refreshing to see a higher-end Dominican spot that isn’t a chain and truly feels authentic. You can tell there’s real pride, passion, and culture behind what they’re doing here. If you’re looking for something different to do on a Friday night, this is definitely the place to go. Be sure to make a reservation, it fills up quickly. And it’s BYOB, which makes the experience even better.
I had the pleasure to dine in right before the crowd came in on Friday. Every Friday they have live music at 6:30P. Ambiance is perfect for ladies night out, date night, or even reservation for a larger group. Entrees were delicious, authentic, fresh and aesthetically pleasing. Entrees were lamb chops and cod. The fresh natural limeade was delicious as well. The owners, chef, and entire team are polite, friendly, and professional. This is my second time dining in and I’ll definitely be back to try brunch and also to dine in for dinner again and again.
Let me just say this is truly an AUTHENTIC DOMINICAN restaurant. 🇩🇴 The food was delicious. My favorite were the empanadas they were huge and delicious. We were a large group of 12 so I suggest reservations for large groups. At our table we ordered the following: Cuban Sandwichesl, oxtail, grilled pork, pork tacos, baked chicken and EVERYTHING was delicious. We couldn't decide which was our favorite. I can't wait to go back. Only thing I was concerned about was the service. The staff is great but it was slow. Definitely worth the wait. Oh and on Friday nights, they have live entertainment. It's a whole vibe.
