See All ReviewsThe carne guisada is very good its done like we grew up the original grayish gravy. The barbacoa is on point as well. The tea is judt right for me. The staff knows you lol if you go at least 3 x and they are very friendly.
Homemade tortillas are always a plus in my reviews. 👍 Plus coffee ☕️ was perfect. 😋 Food was good, tasted like you made it yourself not all those extra spices & oils. I recommend everyone to try atleast once. I will be returning to try other items on menu. 🙂
So I brought my daughter to this restaurant to have a late lunch and it was the only one still open for lunch. This place used to be the old El Torito and used to have decent food. My first clue should have been the overpowering smell of Fabulous masking whatever smell they were trying to cover up. We did try to work around it since we were hungry. Today, as the San Luis, it was pretty bad. The lady working was not customer friendly to non Spanish speakers. She walked around us as we stood there and I finally asked if we should seat ourselves. She said yes. We waited a few minutes to order and she seemed annoyed while taking our order. I ordered a picadillo taco and a potato 🥔 and egg 🥚 taco. 2 simple tacos that are hard to mess up. But yes, they were horrible. My daughter ordered the chalupa bran and cheese kids meal and ilthe chalupa was "wet" by the lettuce that was kept in a bowl of water to keep it fresh. During the time of our meal, she never came to our table to ask if we needed refills on our tea. The tea itself tasted like a mix of coffee ☕ and tea. Not good at all. She chose not to refill our tea until we were already leaving. She attended to everyone else happily and served them well. Us, not so much. She basically ignored us. Hopefully you'll read this review before dining here and regretting it. I was at the Walgreens shortly after getting Rolaids of the constant burping and indigestion. I would NOT recommend this place at all. And for the record, I believe the amount I paid for lunch was way way overpriced. I paid $17 and change for (2) iced teas, (1) potato and egg taco, (1) picadillo taco, and my daughter's chalupa kid's meal.
