I've been here a few times and it would be a 5 star place if I hadn't ordered the Shrimp Alfredo one time and it was awful the shrimp were small and the sauce was awful. The staff was nice about it and took it off my bill. As long as you stay away from the Alfredo it's a good place. My favorite used to be the sesame ahi tuna but they took it off the menu
We had a party of 6 on a Friday night and we arrived at 9:30 not realizing they closed at 10. We made double sure they were willing to take a big party and they were so friendly and and accommodating: the service, the food, and the atmosphere. They're Cajun menu is ridiculously good. Highly recommended.
My new all time favorite restaurant. Every food item ordered was made to perfection and the restaurants atmosphere was amazing. Wasn't rowdy like a college town bar but also wasn't dead silent where you're afraid to talk too loud. Had a great experience!
I really love the food and atmosphere. The only thing I would change would be the outside of the building. Too much signage and they should get rid of the stage and outdoor seating on the side of building. Not very appealing from the outside.
I got sick eating here. Very sick. I called the restaurant and they told me it must have been something else I ate in the day. They wouldn't even ask what i had eaten or offer to check on the food. For the record I went there for lunch and the only other item I ate except their food was dry cereal. Manager was rude unapologetic. I puked for 8 hour and couldn't work the next day. DO NOT EAT HERE. no only did i get sick but they showed no interest in even hearing what it was i had eaten and checking into it. I'm not a bad person i don't leave negative reviews often, I eat out a lot. I don't expect them to do anything but listen and say they will look into it. But they made it clear they do not care about their customers.
A friend of our suggested we try this restaurant and we finally did. I only wish I had tried it sooner! I hate fish. I only eat fish because I am supposed to! This is the first time I have eaten fish and actually LOVED it! I had the Horseradish Mahi Mahi. It had a very mild horseradish flavor that added a gentle sweetness to the fish. My husband had the Flounder with some kind of pesto and tomatoes on it (Flounder Capri). I Had a couple of bites of that, and I have to tell you I was in love with that dish as well! This was our first visit and it was a great experience. I will go back again.
I typically will rate a sea food establishment on two things 1) whether they can properly cook a scallop and 2) The type of product they use. Just because you have a banner than says "best sea food downriver" doesn't mean you have the best sea food. Sent the scallops back twice. First time, I could have played hockey with them and the second time they were over seasoned. The third time I believe the owner cooked them and they were perfect. The product is there... the staff on the other hand need to get their heads out of their rears. If you can't cook a scallop then you shouldn't be working at a highly established sea food establishment. The Decor needs to go from the 80's to 2013. The lead chef is extremely talented and orders quality products. You now just need quality staff.
The food is very good and well presented, especially the oysters on the half shell. What could really complete the dining experience would be cloth table covers...... bare tables give it that "eatery" look.
