Worth the short walk We grabbed empanadas from Coffee Tony and they were delicious—fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly generous in size. At $3.75 per empanada, or 3 for $10, it’s an excellent deal for the area. For comparison, empanadas along Bay Side plaza run closer to $8 each, so a short walk easily cuts the price in half. These were bigger and tastier than what you’ll find in the more touristy spots, making them a standout value. It’s very much a grab-and-go place, not somewhere you linger, but that’s part of the charm—quick, easy, and satisfying. Highly recommend if you want great empanadas without paying Bay Shores prices.
They sold me rotten cachitos. That’s all I will say. Will never buy food from there again. Disgusting.
Cute little corner café with the most delicious spinach empanadas! Excellent for a quick, tasty midafternoon snack while near downtown Miami.
