This was mine and my wife's first time to eat here. There was a 15 to 20 minute wait to get seated once we did we ordered right away didn't take long for our food to come out i had the Bradley plater and my wife had the shrimp kabobs and feta cheese salad. The food was fresh hot and delicious I do wish I would have had more portions and our waitress would have asked if we needed any refills on our drinks other than that it was good
Cajun Connection Rocks!! Their food is deliciousness & fresh! They have great service & atmosphere. It's a great dining experience.
Fantastic food and service. Well worth the drive for us. We will definitely come back. My son said it was the best restaurant he had ever been to. He even tried new things and loved them.
We have heard about the Cajun Connection for a while now, so we decided to drive a little over an hour to try it. I am glad we did! We went on a Friday night around 6:30 and we had about a 45 minute wait. They had seating, cornhole, basketball, and swings outside that made the wait seem not that long. The atmosphere was great and so was the food! I had the grilled shrimp and my wife had the broiled shrimp. Everything was fantastic. Service was great. We were glad that we made the trip to try it out. We will definitely be going back.
After leaving this establishment I didn't really feel like I was in a restaurant or a place to get something to eat. I felt like I had taken a vacation and visited a place where I do not live. The service and attentiveness to the client was outstanding. We started our meal off with Gator bites and breaded and fried crawfish tails. My wife who isn't actually a fan of Gator bites actually like them and I thought the breaded and fried tails were great. I ended up having Bubba Taters: boiled red potato with fried shrimp and Cajun gravy with a side of hush puppies and corn on the cob. My wife had triggerfish platter which was grilled but not fried. Hers came with a side of coleslaw and hush puppies. Everything was done to perfection... The hostess reminded us that we must stick to the menu precisely and no variations from what's on it. I guess the food prep area needs to keep a grip on how much of what they have for each thing they prepare. After leaving the establishment with the surroundings of the outside and the humid and overcast Alabama weather we were having I thought I had actually been on vacation this place is so awesome is just a step away from your everyday life. Highly recommended and I will be back and I appreciate the staff and service and food just want everybody to know that thank you very much.
We were told to try this place out. We are visiting from Texas. We got the Boudin balls, crawfish, grilled shrimp, bang bang shrimp, alligator bites, and chicken. It was all delicious! We'll be sure to come back again.
We ordered a pound of crab claws for our appetizer, and were amazed at the generous portion. They were served with cocktail sauce and remoulade, and were absolutely delicious. For our entrees, we ordered grilled salmon and fried shrimp. Both were served with buttered corn on the cob, potatoes, hush puppies and coleslaw. Everything was cooked to perfection. The sweet tea was so good I got 3 refills, and took the last one to go. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I will definitely go back to Cajun Connection if I am in the area again.
Casual atmosphere and friendly staff. The cajun grilled shrimp, fried fish, and gator bites are so good! Frog legs too. They are only open Thursday thru Friday, and get busy during dinner. The best time to go to avoid the crowd seems to be Saturday afternoons (1-4).
