a month agoFried shrimp were over cooked, rubbery. Fried fish- couldn't pick up 1 single piece without it falling completely apart. Incomplete order- did not receive house salad, or garlic toast. Crawfish were dirty 🤢, but big in size, lacked flavor for a Cajun spice, potential to be really good, but missed the mark. Fried rice was the best part of the whole meal😔. But I went there based on several BAHFL and a personal friend's recommendation. Overall, I must say, all items were piping hot when received.

a month agoMy adult children and my grandchildren and their husbands met me there I worked on mother's Day and they waited for me to get off of work at 2:30 made it there by 3:15 sit down greeted everybody best food they served as the service was great the atmosphere was wonderful it's off of beamer road in Houston Texas they had everything delicious 😋 we loved every minute of it I think everybody that lives around there at the hospital at Southeast memorial Hermann doctors nurses employees you all need to come out and eat here at lunch time or maybe in the evening The Weeknd it was really really good and I have been eating seafood all my life and crawfish on my life and this is the best crawfish I've eaten in the long long time I give them 100 +

3 months agoThey never answer the phone, when you pick up your food they don’t even check to see if your order is ready and it’ll be sitting on the counter getting cold. They need better/more experienced servers, the kids that work there suck and they are bringing the restaurant down. The food is good, but the service sucks!!!!!

4 months agoBest crawfish in Houston. I come to Cajun Craven at least three times a week and it never disappoints. The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Every time I order it’s consistent, which is why I keep coming back. Today was actually my first time eating inside instead of getting it to go, and the experience was just as good as always. Trent took care of me and his customer service was amazing. He’s always been helpful even when I’m just picking up orders, but dining in really showed how attentive and friendly he is. He made sure everything was right and checked on me without being overbearing. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service are this good every time. Cajun Craven has definitely become one of my regular spots and I’ll keep recommending it. If you like good Cajun food good crawfish, shrimp and turkey necks with great service, this is the place.

4 months agoUnfortunately, tonight’s experience was horrible. Hit this spot every crawfish season waited an hour for a to go order hoping that route would be quicker than waiting. I never seen it this disorganized. No one had any answers besides it will be 20 minutes longer. Very disappointed cause love their crawfish. Needs better management and organization.

4 months ago1st time to eat here, crawfish was awesome. Loved that it can out in a steamy bag so crawfish stayed warm until the very end. The Craven's style seasoning was delicious, if you like butter and garlic it's definitely the way to go. Will definitely be back multiple times this crawfish season.

11 months agoCajun Craven Called about live crabs. They said they have it. Asked about size and was told #1 mixed with other sizes. Bought 10lbs of live crabs. Gentleman that sold me the crabs came out with crabs in a bucket. Sizes were accurate to what was communicated over the phone. Gentleman said they were alive but not moving because they had been in the cooler and not that active. Took his word for it. Came home and began the rinsing process before boiling the crab. All but 4 crabs were dead. I was expecting them to come alive after rising them with water but majority were goners. I messaged on FB as soon as I found out. Owner reach out later on stating that the staff made sure every single one were alive when picked. That’s a fat lie because when I was checking them, many were not moving and the worker said they are not moving because they were in the cooler. So if they were not moving then how does he know it’s a live. It could be not moving because they were dead. Needless to say nothing was done by the owner. I’m Vietnamese and buy blue crabs often. Owner claims that I may have caused them to die but I went directly home to wash them. A 30 min ride is not going to kill crabs and cause them to smell so horrible. I want to eat live crabs. Why would I make this up for? You guys got to do a better job at this Cajun Craven. When a customer feels cheated and taken advantage of, it’s not a good look for you. First time giving this place a try for live crabs since it’s closer but was disappointed. Threw the dead ones away that smelled like they had died for quite some time in fear of getting food poisoning. Only the 4 live ones were cooked. $50 Cash :•( BEWARE OF THIS PLACE OWNER WILL SIDE WITH EMPLOYEES EVEN IF THEY LIE

9 years agoUnorganized with poor service. Food was good but not great. Very different seasonings but as I said OK food. Well, let's say there is better. No one greets you, you just have to figure out that you have to sign a list. Then just wait. Food comes out as it's ready. Our crab legs took almost 45 minutes. Plastic forks and knives which makes it difficult to cut food without it bending. Then when you're done, you have to go to the bar to find out how much you owe. Then they write something up on a price of paper. There is no POS system so there's no tracking of sales and orders. Makes me think of businesses that don't want to pay taxes. But some people seem to like this place and the prices are reasonable. Parking is a mess and you you'll probably end up parking in the business lot next door. Because of my experience, I would not return.
