See All ReviewsFull disclosure: I’ve been coming here since college, UH Campus. Go COOGS!!! Hooooooooooozzzzzzzz House?!!!!! ….. teehee So clearly, they don’t pay me to advertise & they don’t have to because I come here whenever I’m downtown for anything. I call ahead and take it to Katy. I know this place before it was here. Before, it was across the street. These peeps are legit. Just come here and you won’t be disappointed. This is my staple go to is the anything really. Today, I am getting the bahn mi for Chris & I. I love all their spices, especially the home made spice, it is so nice!!! Here a pick of the treasure I’m bring home.
The menu is pretty diverse. IMO, the cheese puff is one of the better ones we have had. Shrimp & pork spring rolls came with the traditional dipping sauce w/peanuts., added bonus was the sambal oelek. I had the wonton noodle soup. The wontons are meaty and huge. I ordered the beef stew w/bread and a grilled pork chop over rice to go.Because it’s located near downtown, I ordered the food to go to try since I rarely go downtown. Everything I ordered was fantastic. The server said he was impressed that we ate everything that was ordered. 😜
This restaurant was recommended by a neighboring coffee shop, Slow Drip TX, so we decided to stop by and give it a try. Parking is a bit limited, but street parking is available. Just something to keep in mind before heading over. The space was inviting and had a casual, welcoming vibe that made it easy to settle in. We both ordered the Gà Nướng grilled chicken sandwich, which was delicious—well-seasoned, juicy, and full of flavor. It was definitely the standout for us. We also shared the bò lúc lắc, which was tender and cooked nicely, with a rich, savory flavor that paired well with the rest of the dish. Overall, this spot delivered on flavor and was a solid recommendation. It’s a great option if you’re in the area and looking for something satisfying yet approachable.
